PT Sinergi Sapta Jaya (PT SSJ) is a company startup that has a core business in developing SID (Sistem Informasi Digital) based on mobile apps, web apps, and desktop apps. At this time, SSJ focusing on the development of SID in the field of education, with the name SINERGI Akademik.
For the specific project, SSJ Worked with PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa (BHP) to provide mobile apps, web apps, and desktop apps running on AWS.

SINERGI Akademik is a digital information application that summarized all academic information and activities at school in one hand, which can be accessed online. And now, SSJ preparing (developing) other supporting applications in the field of education:
Most of SSJ Customer is from Elementary School, Junior high school, and Senior High School private and government. This mean the user experience and availability of the services is critical and user friendly.

SSJ have issue to manage their infrastructure and cost of their infrastructure. With that issue, SSJ Chose to implement their mobile apps, web apps, and desktop apps in Amazon Web Service (AWS) to simplify manage their infrastructure and cost effective. PT SINERGI Sapta Jaya saw that running on AWS would give them a more high available architecture, infrastructure, support 3rd party application and other principal integration at a better price.

BHp proposed total AWS solution for SSJ. In the early stages, BHp do some meetings and assessment in order to map SSJ’s detail requirements. After finalrequirements and scenario already designed by BHp, BHp works with SSJ team to do a PoC ( Proof of Concept ) so SSJ team also can have someexperiences while their system running on top of AWS Cloud Services.
AWS Services that being deployed are mostly compute and storage services (Ec2, EBS & S3). After weeks of POC, there aresome changes to the PoC environment. SSJ team want to try one of the manage services database services from AWS = RDS (Relational Databases Services). RDS offers some of interesting points for customers :

- Available & Durable
After weeks of testing, all production for database will use RDS for AWS. SSJ thinks RDS is the best solution for their Postgre Database because its easy to manage, and highly scalable. Until now, all production systems for SSJ is running in AWS cloud AWS Services that used by SSJ :
- EC2 ( Elastic Compute Cloud )
- S3 ( Simple Cloud Storage )
- RDS ( Relational Database Services )
- All related network configuration in VPC
