Overview
Switching Technology has been around for a long time. From what we once were familiar with a device called a Brigade to now is known as a switch. There are also two types of switches, Manageable Switch, and Unmanaged switch. The difference is that the Unmanaged Switch works at layer 1 (Physical Layer) and the Manageable Switch works at layer 2 (Datalink Layer).
